An extra day off for us both today,saw us heading over to lovely Bakewell and walking along the Monsal Trail up to Monsal Head and back.
The weather was a bit of a mixed affair with a few showers,but thankfully there is plenty of shelter along this old railway,with some lovely big trees and obviously the tunnel and bridges along the route.
This section is not as picturesque as between Monsal Head and Miller's Dale Station,but it was very enjoyable all the same and really nice to get out walking again with Mrs R.
