Scotland Day 3,Monday 10th July 2023.

Sadly it was our last morning in Scotland today and after a decent brekkie at our accomodation for the night we headed out visiting Slattadale again in the outside chance of finding something.

Unfortunately it was the same as previous visits, with sadly no Azure Hawkers, but i did manage to find some Pine Marten scat, the nearest we got to seeing one sadly.

We then decided to travel over to Glen Torridon to another site on the very remote chance we could perhaps find an Azure Hawker in more montane habitat.

After arriving at the car park,we were greeted by the amazing sight of the tamest stag Red Deer i have seen to date.

Callum as the local call him was making his morning visit for his breakfast, which one of the locals told us his favourite food was Bananas. He quickly made short work of mine and Tims Bananas and then ate my breakfast biscuits as well.

What a lovely encounter with a truly wild Stag, who has become accustomed to his human visitors for the past 17 years.

Other sightings here included a Spotted Flycatcher and Cuckoo, but the mountain scenery stole the show for me,it was truly breathtaking.

Now began the long journey home and a big thank you to Tim for driving so expertly throughout our trip and taking us to some fantastic places.

I hope to visit this beautiful area again in the future.
