Snowdonia Day 2, Part 2, The Llyn Peninsula

After having a lovely shower and picking Mrs R up from the cottage we headed out to a favourite destination Porth Dinallaen which is situated on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula.

The drive over was an enjoyable one and we were soon parking up at the National Trust car park at Morfa Nefyn.

There were a lot of people about today, but it can be expected on a sunny Saturday on one of the most stunning beach areas around and a world famous pub to boot, the Ty Coch Inn.

We headed into the pub for the amazing Chilli Nacho's we had last time we visited and they were just as good as we had remembered, very nice!.

After our lunch and a refreshing drink we set off to explore the area and see if any Grey Seals were present at Carreg Ddu.

Sure enough as we arrived at least 12 Grey Seals were loafing around the rocks, including a couple of big bulls.

A few birds around included a couple of Shag, Kittiwakes and Sandwich Terns, with several flocks of Guillemots passing us by at sea.

We sat and enjoyed the sun and lovely views, what a great little place this is.

After enjoying our visit here we headed back to the café near the car park for a cuppa and ice-cream before heading back to the cottage to relax for the evening.

The following are my favourite pics from our visit here.
