Snowdonia Day One, Friday 9th May 2025

Setting off bright and early this morning and heading west across country to beautiful Wales, saw our first port of call being a fave of ours, lovely Barmouth.

This picturesque little seaside town on the edge of the stunning Mawddach estuary, is always a must for us and after a well earned brekkie after the long drive, we went to explore.

Best of the wildlife sightings as we walked over the famous Barmouth bridge, saw us seeing not one, but two Osprey's as they searched for fish over the estuary, an amazing start to the holiday.

Also here were a new species of fish, as Tracey and myself watched at least 50 Long-snouted Garfish as they swam up the estuary, a brilliant sight to see.

After leaving Barmouth we headed for the cottage taking in some lovely scenery on the way.

We eventually arrived at our lovely cottage for the weeks stay after a quick visit to Tesco at Porthmadog for some supplies. The cottage was situated just on the edge of Beddgelert and we quickly unpacked our luggage and then went exploring.

We had visited Beddgelert on several occasions in the past, but it was an absolute dream to be staying here, it is such a pretty village.

The following are my favourite photos from day one.
