As i was now on holiday and the forecast was good, a day out with Lee was in order to take him to Malham in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Lee had always wanted to visit Malham Cove and today was going to be the day.
After the usual stop on the way to the Dales at Wetherby services, we made the remainder of the journey in good time seeing a lovely Red Kite.
We eventually arrived at Malham in wall to wall sunshine, paid for our parking and got our boots on and we were off.
On the way up to Janet's Foss, a few nice birds included a pair of Stonechat and a lovely Dipper, the latter was one of this years youngsters and put on a great show.
Janet's Foss was in pretty good flow considering the lack of recent rain.
After taking loads of pics and a few videos it was onto the star of the show for me on this walk, the breath taking scenery of Gordale Scar.
I always stare in awe at the scenery here and I've visited many times it is just spectacular!.
As expected we tool lots of photos.
After enjoying Gordale it was onto the final part of this fantastic circular walk, Malham Cove.
Arriving at the cove it was the first time I've ever been here with no other people present, just brilliant.
Again we spent a good while taking photos from the top and bottom taking in this fantastic panorama of Limestone, it must have been some sight when it was in full flow as a waterfall.
We steadily made our way back to the car and then after visiting the National Park Visitor Centre it was onto Airton for a celebratory full english brekkie.
What a cracking day, the following are my favourite photos from the day.
