After making the long journey south early morning, we arrived close to our destination and as it was not too far away and somewhere we hadn't been we travelled a little further to Poole in Dorset.
After finding parking we explored for a while and then saw a boat trip across Poole Harbour and over to Swanage. We booked our tickets and then we had about 45 mins to wait, so we had a cuppa.
The boat journey over to Swanage was really great, taking in the fantastic spectacle of Old Harry Rocks, a series of chalk cliffs and sea stacks along the edge of Swanage Bay and some great views of Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island.
A wander around Swanage for a few hours was really enjoyable and Trace even managed to find a Lulworth Skipper at Peveril Point.
After this epic start to our trip we travelled back on the boat and to our accommodation at Tiptoe near Sway.
