The Upper Derwent Valley,Sunday 27th June 2021.

A visit to this lovely area today with Trace and Clara, saw us walking the whole loop from Fairholmes up to Slippery Stones & back covering approx 12 miles, saw us enjoying a brilliant day despite the cloudy conditions.

Some really nice birds were seen and included a singing male Wood Warbler,Tree Pipit,Short-eared Owl,several Common Sandpiper, including 3 pairs with chicks, several Grey Wagtail and a stunning male Redstart feeding his two fledglings.

Apart from the birds, the stunning scenery entertained as it always does on our visits here.

The following are a few photos from our day.
