Pembrokeshire - St.Davids & Skomer/Ramsey Island, Tuesday 26th May 2026

Today we planned to visit the beautiful cathedral city of St.Davids, the smallest city in the UK, due to it being the holiest site in all of Wales, due to it being the birthplace of the patron saint of Wales, Sant Dewi or Saint David as he is known in the english language.

The cathedral is an absolute must to visit and it is such a lovely setting. After visiting here, we went for some food and a cuppa and booked to go on a boat out to Skomer and Ramsey Islands which proved to be a great decision.

Not only did we see the expected thousands of Puffins, but on the way back from Skomer we encountered a small pod of Common Dolphins which gave absolutely stunning views alongside us and on a couple of occasions swimming under the boat. What an absolute privilege to see these beautiful animals so close, absolutely brilliant.

The following are my fave photos and video clips from our day.
