Pembrokshire - Day 2, Saturday 23rd May 2026
Today we decided we would walk along the coast from the cottage up to Abereiddi and back, taking in Porthgain on the way.
It was a bit overcast for most of the day, but it was still a brilliant walk.
Bird wise we recorded 41 species, with the highlights being 8 Manx Shearwater, a Puffin, 7 Chough, 2 Raven, 4 Wheatear, 10 Stonechat and a Tree Sparrow, the latter being a bit of rarity here.
A nice surprise, was a young Fox Cub as we walked at Trefin.
After getting back after our walk, decided to go over to Strumble Head for a few hours. Nothing really rare was seen here, but i got some lovely views of a pair of Choughs, at least 8 Harbour Porpoise were seen offshore and of course the cracking scenery here is always a bonus.
The following are my favourite photos from our lovely day out.
